Series Positioning: A Goddess Culture-Themed CruisePOSITIONING
The Huaxia Goddess series takes the legend of the Three Gorges Goddess as its core theme, weaving regional cultural decoration and ethnic-style experiences into the ship's public spaces and cabins: Chinese-style interiors, Hanfu experiences, and intangible-heritage themed activities run through the whole voyage, making it one of the most recognizable and culturally rich series on the Yangtze. If you don't want a ship that looks like every other one — if you want the ship itself to be memorable, with stories to tell — the Goddess series deserves a top spot on your shortlist. Price-wise, the series covers mostly the mid-range: the mainstay ships run roughly RMB 1,500-2,500 per person and the flagship about RMB 2,500-3,000 — a classic case of paying a mid-range budget for a distinctive experience.
Ship Comparison: Goddess No. 2, No. 3, No. 5SHIP BY SHIP
Huaxia Goddess No. 5 · Mainstay, RMB 1,500-2,500 tier
Refurbished in 2025, it is the ship that "feels newest" in the series. A small-to-mid-size vessel with low passenger density, so public areas never feel crowded; the all-inclusive core-sightseeing packaging is hassle-free, and the restaurant has an open kitchen with food cooked to order. If you want a newly refurbished, uncrowded experience on a mid-range budget, look here first.
Huaxia Goddess No. 3 · Flagship, about RMB 2,500-3,000 tier
The flagship of the series, launched in 2021, with the largest tonnage and passenger capacity in the fleet and the highest hardware standard: a high-altitude glass skywalk, a large game center, a kids' club, and an enormous top-deck observation platform are its signature features. If your budget stretches further, or you are traveling with children or seniors, Goddess No. 3 offers the most complete experience.
Huaxia Goddess No. 2 · The entry choice
Launched in 2014 and fully refurbished in 2024, it is mostly balcony cabins plus family connecting rooms, with the lowest entry threshold in the series. For travelers on a tighter budget who still want the Goddess culture atmosphere, starting with No. 2 offers good value.

Who the Goddess Series SuitsWHO IT SUITS
Lovers of Chinese culture themes: Chinese-style interiors and Hanfu and intangible-heritage activities are the soul of the series — great for photos and memorable experiences.
Families and travelers with kids: the kids' club and game center on Goddess No. 3, and the family connecting rooms on No. 2, are both very family-friendly.
Mid-range budgets: RMB 1,500-3,000 covers both the mainstay and the flagship — noticeably cheaper than the super five-star flagship brands, with no sacrifice of character.
Travelers who prefer smaller, less crowded ships: Goddess No. 5's low passenger density keeps public areas comfortable even in peak season.

Cabin and Facility HighlightsROOMS & FACILITIES
The cabin system in the Goddess series is fairly complete: from inside cabins and standard twin cabins (with private balconies) to executive rooms, suites, and family-themed rooms, there is a category for every budget. On facilities, the shared highlight across the fleet is the Goddess-culture-themed public spaces and performances; the differences are — Goddess No. 3 has the strongest package in the series: the high-altitude glass skywalk, large game center, kids' club, cinema, and the huge observation platform; Goddess No. 5 wins on the fresh feel of its 2025 refurbished cabins and its open-kitchen restaurant; Goddess No. 2 is balcony-cabin oriented with family connecting rooms — a practical choice. For detailed tonnage, cabin sizes, and deck plans, see the "Ship Facts" and "Staterooms" sections on each ship page.
Booking TipsBOOKING TIPS
The Huaxia Goddess series is popular in peak season, and holiday sailings often sell out well in advance — book at least a month ahead to lock in your cabin; family rooms on Goddess No. 3 are especially tight. Families traveling with children should always confirm child fare standards with a consultant before ordering — child ticket policies and bed-sharing rules differ from ship to ship, and the written confirmation prevails. Cruise ticket prices fluctuate with the seasons; once you have shortlisted a ship, contact a Three Gorges Cruise Center consultant to verify current sailing dates, cabin availability, and quotations. For general booking, payment, and refund/change rules see the FAQ; specific prices and refund terms are subject to written confirmation at the time of booking.
